NetWitness® Announces the General Release of the 12.5.1.3 Security Patch

Overview

The 12.5.1.3 Security Patch strengthens the NetWitness® Platform by addressing the latest security vulnerabilities found across several third-party and open-source libraries that are used within the product. This update focuses entirely on security hardening to ensure customers maintain strong protection against emerging threats.

What's Included

The release resolves a wide range of major, moderate, and minor CVEs, covering issues such as potential remote-code execution risks, privilege escalation, data exposure, and other security weaknesses. As this Security Patch is not a part of the NetWitness® repository, it will be necessary to download the software ZIP from the NetWitness® Community. Check out the download at, NetWitness® Platform 12.5.1.3 Security Patch.

There is also a Deployment Guide for 12.5.1.3 Security Patch document available. It is important to review this guide, understand it, and follow the steps as indicated. Your NetWitness® environment must be at version 12.5.1.3 before deploying the patch. No other version of NetWitness® is compatible, nor can this patch upgrade your NetWitness® environment to 12.5.1.3.
